I recently got offered a job working in an office, which is AMAZING and extremely EXCITING news!!! The only problem is that I have hardly any clothes suitable for working in an office environment. This lead to an afternoon of shopping.
Harbour Town was my first option.
A: It's cheap :)
B: It's got Portmans and Cue... which lets face it, are some of the best options for women's work wear.
C: Two of my friends work there.
The trip started as a bit of a disaster. It was pouring down with rain. My mate and I had to sprint from the Cat Bus, while trying to desperately stop our umbrellas from turning inside out and not get run over by traffic. Once we successfully made it into shopping centre, I realised Harbour Town did't have a full roof covering it. This meant there were wet patches of water on the ground. Greeeaaaattttt... We were both wearing little ballet flat shoes as well.
Lession one learnt: Wear boots when its raining...even if they slightly wreck your outfit.
Lession two: Get a better umbrella. (I was extremely jealous of one girls umbrella that literally came down around her head. Who new they existed?)
Once we were in, coffee and food were the main things on our mind. After we got lunch out of the way, we started our hunt for office clothes. This lasted a whole 30 seconds, when we saw Ally. Such a pretty (and cheap) shop! My eyes slowly wandered to the floral cardigans and dresses. I proudly resisted the clothing, telling myself I was only here to buy work stuff.
To be continued
